Mt. Hood Wildfire Ready Fall Workshop

This workshop provided participants a series of interactive sessions on topics including evacuation planning, home strategies for wildfire defense, and home insurance considerations.

Craig Vattiat, the Consumer Education and Engagement Coordinator with the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services helped participants living in fire country to navigate homeowner’s insurance. Evan Sluder, a research scientist and engineer from the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety discussed strategies for defending your home against wildfire. And Jay Wilson, Resilience Coordinator with Clackamas County Disaster Management discussed evacuation planning for the Mt. Hood Corridor. Thank you again to all our presenters.
